Legendary rock n' roll band Guns N' Roses have announced a 12 date residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas that will start on October 31st (Halloween) and conclude on November 24th, dubbed "Appetite For Democracy".
The concerts, on the heels of the 25th anniversary of Appetite for Destruction, will cull hits from that 1987 debut through 2008's Chinese Democracy. Tickets, starting at $45, go on sale Friday (details at thejointlasvegas.com).
The band has promised these shows will be unlike any they have done before. With rumors of a new album circulating (and fuel being added to the fire by the members of the band themselves) could attendees be the first to hear new songs? No matter what songs they play, if these shows are anything like the sold-out Los Angeles takeover from last March, audiences are in for something truly special.
Founded in 1985, the storied band consists of singer Axl Rose (the sole original member), bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman and guitarists DJ Ashba, Richard Fortus and Rob "Bumblefoot" Thal. Appetite, which spent three years on the Billboard album chart, has sold more than 18 million copies.
The Joint dates are Oct. 31, Nov. 2-3, Nov. 7, Nov. 9-10, Nov. 14, Nov. 17-18, Nov. 21, Nov. 23-24.
