Lori McCreary is an American motion picture producer and computer scientist. She is co-founder and CEO of the production company Revelations Entertainment, which she co-founded with actor Morgan Freeman.
McCreary grew up in Antioch, a small town in northern California. Her mother, actress Sharon Rich, left the entertainment industry to raise the family.
McCreary graduated from UCLA with a degree in Computer Science. While still in college, she co-founded CompuLaw, a computer software company that continues to thrive.
McCreary's appreciation for the stage play "Bopha!" inspired her to go into motion picture production. Actor Morgan Freeman was signed to direct the film. Later, Freeman became McCreary's mentor and eventually the pair partnered in the formation of Revelations Entertainment in 1996. McCreary holds the position of CEO at Revelations, overseeing all facets of Revelations’ day-to-day operation including film production as well as business and finance.
Revelations' recently acquired rights to the book Playing the Enemy by John Carlin and have developed it into a script with screenwriter Tony Peckham. Freeman and McCreary produce the upcoming Invictus starring Morgan
