After breaking his parole in order to start a new life for himself, Valjean must evade the persistent Inspector Javert (Geoffrey Rush). The pursuit consumes both men's lives, and soon Valjean finds himself in the midst of the student revolutions in 19th century France.

Academy Award® winner Geoffrey Rush (Best Actor, Shine, 1996), Academy Award® nominees Liam Neeson (Best Actor, Schindler's List, 1993) and Uma Thurman (Best Supporting Actress, Pulp Fiction, 1994) as well as three-time Golden Globe® winner Claire Danes (Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series- Drama, “Homeland,” 2012; Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television, “Temple Grandin,” 2011; Best Performance by an Actress in a TV-Series – Drama, “My So-Called Life,” 1994) star in this adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel. Set amidst the dramatic backdrop of early 19th century France on the brink of revolution, LES MISERABLES is the story of a paroled prisoner (Neeson) who is attempting to create a new life, but is relentlessly pursued by Inspector Javert (Rush).
