Synopsis

Release Date:

March 27,2012

Hard to review as an adult so I gave it to my five year old (a lego freak) and watched his reaction -at least for the first 3 times he watched it. If your child likes lego, and likes Ninjas (and really, who doesn't) this DVD set s sure to entertain.

LEGO® earns a black belt in family entertainment when Warner Home Video (WHV) and The LEGO Group release LEGO® Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu on DVD. Named one of Time to Play’s “Top 15 Most Wanted Holiday 2011 Toys,” the animated feature-length DVD movie follows four ninjas in training who must protect the world of Ninjago from underworld invaders. LEGO® Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu also includes a hilarious blooper reel as part of the DVD special features.

Evil Lord Garmadon and his army of skeletons are out to destroy the world of Ninjago in LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu. It’s now up to Sensei Wu, Lord Garmadon’s brother, and a group of young men to stop him from capturing the Four Weapons of Spinjitzu and taking over Ninjago. In order to defeat Lord Garmadon’s reign of dark power, Sensei Wu trains Kai, Jay, Zane and Cole in the ancient art of Spinjitzu. If the young ninjas do not succeed at their mission, then they risk the entire fate of Ninjago and losing the four powerful weapons forever.

“Warner Home Video is excited to bring the hugely popular Ninjago brand to home entertainment for the first time,” said Jeff Brown, WHV Executive Vice President and General Manager, Family, Animation & Television Marketing. “Families expect quality entertainment from both of our brands and will see that in the release of LEGO Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu on DVD.”

Ninjago has quickly become one of the top grossing LEGO brands in history with five Ninjago products currently in LEGO’s top 20 products. In addition to a successful product line, Cartoon Network is set to debut a new television series inspired by Ninjago this December.
