Anchor Bay Entertainment presents its action-packed sci-fi thriller, Collision Earth. Director Paul Ziller (Ice Quake, Polar Storm, Stonehenge Apocalypse) returns to the SyFy channel with a  talented cast that includes Kirk Acevedo (“Fringe”, “Oz” ,“Band of Brothers”), Diane Farr (“Numbers”, “Californication”), Chad Krowchuk (“Yukonic”, “Aliens in America”) and Jessica Parker Kennedy (“Secret Circle,” In Time).

When a massive comet strikes the Sun, it knocks Mercury out of orbit, sending it hurtling towards Earth. Each day the now-magnetized planet gets closer, it triggers gravitational chaos around the world: Flaming meteors crash into the ground, automobiles are sucked into the sky.  The Earth’s days are numbered.  Can a disgraced scientist (Kirk Acevedo) and a lone surviving crewmember (Diane Farr) on a crippled space shuttle stop this Extinction Level Event by re-activating the top-secret planetary defense system known as ‘Project 7’?  

Time is running out, and the fate of humanity is in their hands, but can they succeed or is our planet just history?
