Childrens Hospital: The Complete Third Season
Synopsis
Release Date:
July 24,2012This show is so wrong...so,so wrong. Yet somehow, you can't help but laugh at the practically grotesque antics of this show that so expertly sends up the ridiculousness of shows like Greys Anatomy and Private Practice.
While I have always (and still do) find Rob Cordry something of an aquired taste -he is good at being somewhat disturbing but I'm not convinced that he has any real skill as an actor, the rest of the cast including Ken Marino (I'll watch this guy in anything), Malin Ackerman, and the always reliable Henry Winkler steal the show. While not always as biting a satire as South Park, or as socially relevant a pop-culture dissection as The Simpsons, Children's Hospital is not without its big laughs and is certainly worth checking out!
Check in to the least professional hospital in town when Warner Home Video releases Childrens Hospital: The Complete Third Season on DVD July 24, 2012. With 14 seriously funny episodes, plus uncensored enhanced content including gag reels, deleted scenes, a featurette, and hilarious bloopers, bleepers, screw-ups and blunders™, Childrens Hospital: The Complete Third Season will be released timed to the Season Four premiere on Adult Swim.
The courageous doctors and staff of Childrens Hospital – brilliant, egotistical, nymphomaniacal – do whatever it takes to save sick kids’ lives whether they deserve it or not. The team will disrobe, do Ecstasy, donate organs (except for the important ones), or shoot adult films in the operating room – all for the greater good. Show creator Rob Corddry stars with series regulars Malin Akerman, Lake Bell, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel, Ken Marino, Megan Mullally and Henry Winkler, and a slew of celebrity drop-ins. Get your hands on all 14 Season Three episodes of this totally twisted, medically dope series that’ll literally get you high. Not really.
The series is based upon the Webby Award–winning digital show that debuted on TheWB.com in 2008 and quickly became a hit with its twisted take on network medical dramas like Grey's Anatomy and House. Executive produced by Corddry, Jonathan Stern and David Wain, Childrens Hospital is produced by Abominable Pictures and Studio 2.0 and distributed by Warner Bros. Television.
