July 24,2012

You will never look at Kelsey Grammar the same way again (for all the right reasons this time)! There is not a hint of Frasier Crane in Grammer's Tom Kane - a menacing, ruthless political powerhouse who will go to any length to any length to get what he wants. Grammers performance earned him a Golden Globe for Best Drama actor and you can see why. He dominates every scene he is in with a ferocity you cant take your eyes off of that will instantly make you forget that you are watching an actor who previously played the same part for more than 20 years!

Corruption is at its finest when Lionsgate releases the political STARZ drama Boss: Season One to Blu-ray Disc, DVD and Digital Download for the first time on July 24, 2012. Nominated for a Golden Globe® for Best Drama - Television Series, Boss: Season One stars Golden Globe® award winner Kelsey Grammer (Best Actor- Television Series- Drama) and will be released just prior to the Season Two premiere on August 17, 2012.

Kelsey Grammer gives an electrifying performance as Tom Kane, the ruthless mayor of Chicago, who will go to great lengths to get the job done - even if it means being involved with scandal. The Philadelphia Inquirer described Grammer's performance as "riveting," and HitFix praised his role on the show as "mesmerizing." Boss: Season One also stars Connie Nielsen (TV's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit"), Hannah Ware (Shame), Jeff Hephner (TV's "The O.C.") and Kathleen Robertson (TV's "Beverly Hills, 90210," Hollywoodland), the 2-disc Blu-ray set and 3-disc DVD set contains all eight episodes in addition to special features including episode commentaries as well as a featurette, "The Mayor and His Maker" with Kelsey Grammer and Farhad Safinia.

Mayor Tom Kane (Grammer) is King of Chicago and he rules his domain with an iron fist. Deception, scandal and betrayal go hand in hand with Kane's form of politics. As long as he gets the job done, the people of Chicago look the other way. Despite being the most effective mayor in recent history, Kane is hiding a dark secret. A degenerative brain disorder is ripping everything away from him and he can't trust his memory, his closest allies or even himself. Watch as Kane viciously fights battles on all fronts in Boss: Season One.
