While never quite as powerful an exploration of the crimes of war and its toll on the human soul as Platoon, Born On The Fourth of July is still an engrossing journey through the eyes of one honored individual brought to life by an astounding performance from Tom Cruise that to this day still stands as one of his very best. The blu-ray looks and sounds good but I was hoping for more special features and possibly some retrospectives from the people involved.
