Bob: The Complete Series

Bob Newhart keeps fans laughing with the DVD release of BOB: THE COMPLETE SERIES. In this fun family comedy, Newhart portrays Bob McKay, the creator of the 1950s comic book superhero “Mad Dog,” who then became a greeting card artist when his comic faded into oblivion. Years later, Bob’s comic is revived when the American-Canadian Trans-Continental Communications Company (AmCanTranConComCo) buys the rights to the series. But tensions quickly mount as AmCanTranConComCo’s head Harlan Stone (played by John Cygan) tries to alter Bob’s original character, forcing them to find a compromise on the project’s creative direction and work together. Other cast members include Lisa Kudrow, Tom Poston, Carlene Watkins, Cynthia Stevenson and Betty White.
